Announcing the...
2023 BEST/VTmtss Summer Institute!
June 26 - 29, 2023
Killington Grand Resort, Killington, VT
Nourishing our Roots: Deepening and Strengthening our Systems of Support for the Well-being of All
The BEST/VTmtss Summer Institute provides opportunities for school teams of educators (Pre-K – Grade 12), caregivers/family members*, students, and community partners to share and learn strategies for improving and strengthening the systems, data, and practices within Vermont’s multi-tiered system of supports (VTmtss) to enhance the social, emotional, and behavioral well-being of all.
This year’s Summer Institute is specifically designed to nourish your roots and build upon current strengths to meet the unique needs of you and your school teams. In a retreat-like experience, school teams will engage in high-quality professional learning from content experts in VT and nationwide. We acknowledge the challenges of the previous few years and have embedded opportunities for self-reflection, experiential learning, relationship-building, and various wellness experiences. In addition to a week of high-quality professional learning and highly sought-after team planning time, participants will have several options to collaborate and share best practices with schools across the state. You and your school teams will also find time to play, laugh, and celebrate each other and the work you do every day to support your students.
*caregivers/family members also include kin, foster, and adoptive caregivers.
